Event Summary During the session we will look in detail at where science fits into EYFS and how to develop children’s science skills through play, demonstrations and investigations.
Event description This course focuses on developing science skills in EYFS, considering a range of strategies for teaching and learning.
During the course we will look into the statutory framework for the early years foundation stage and identify scientific concepts that should be introduced to children during EYFS. We will discuss best practices for introducing these scientific concepts to avoid children developing scientific misconceptions.
Particular attention will be given to demonstrations and investigations that can be carried during EYFS.
Additional information The session will be delivered remotely using Microsoft Teams. A link to the meeting will be sent out in advance.
